The Association for Justice, Truth, and Dignified Reparations wishes to inform the public of the following:
- As is public knowledge, the Sodalitium of Christian Life, the Marian Fraternity of Reconciliation, the Servants of God’s Plan, and the Christian Life Movement have been formally suppressed by the highest authority of the Catholic Church. Pope Francis has appointed Monsignor Jordi Bertomeu Farnós as Apostolic Commissioner for the tasks related to this suppression. This event is an important step in the search for justice and reparation for the victims of the institutions founded by the layman Luis Fernando Figari based on a nonexistent charisma that caused them grave harm through various institutionalized abuses and is no longer recognized by the Holy See as a path to God.
- We place ourselves at the service of each and every one of the victims of the suppressed institutions and express our total solidarity with them. As we have expressed on other occasions, we have professionals in the relevant areas to provide whatever assistance we can and as required.
- We are closely following the work that will follow the formal dissolution of the three institutions in order to act responsibly and transparently in accordance with the purposes and values of our association. In this regard, we have requested a meeting with Monsignor Jordi Bertomeu to introduce ourselves and discuss the next steps and timelines.
- We believe our independence is one of the keys to our spirit and service, and that it goes beyond the current situation.
Sincerely,
Board of Directors and General Assembly of Members
